Our story
The economic challenges in the year 2020 elevated the thought process that all those who have been blessed by God, should come forward and contribute for those who are in need. We also wanted to form an organization which is run professionally for the people and wanted to maximize the use of technology in order to operate with full transparency and accountability.
On the eve of 31 December 31, 2019, group of friends got together at the tallest building of the world to celebrate the arrival of 2020. The topic of discussion was the new year resolutions. Everyone briefed with what they want to do and then it was the turn of our founding member, the idea was presented that we should collectively do something for the people and for our country. With that objective in mind, the promise was made that before the end of 2020, the idea will shape up in the reality.
As usual, the days passed by and even the months, eventually the idea was discussed with the other three founding members and that was the birth of the core committee of Bhai Chara. Their aim is to ensure that Bhai Chara is operated professionally and with transparency. It was extremely challenging to commit time and effort which took Bhai Chara to where it is right now and by the grace of God, the members kept increasing and thus Bhai Chara became a reality.
Bhai Chara will run multiple programs simultaneously including Bhai Chara App, Bhai chara ventures , Sufaid Posh and many others.

Hala Hashmi is a successful Senior Reservoir Engineer working in Calgary, Canada. For her the role of being a daughter, sister, wife and doting mother are more powerful than being an engineer. But there is no doubt that she proudly presents herself as being the first woman Petroleum Engineer of Pakistan. Her diversified career made her work in Pakistan, UAE, Oman and Canada. She feels connected to her people and wants to support any causes out there, therefore being part of any local charities and promoting women empowerment are her fundamental beliefs.
Multitasking, prioritization & networking has played a key role in her success, where she managed to balance her work and life.
She feels planning is the key to any successful project and Bhai Chara spent good time on planning, therefore it is evident that many people will benefit from this venture. All the best wishes with Bhai Chara.

With over 15 years of experience managing 5 decades old third generation family-owned business, Telec group operates in five areas that is power generation, port equipment, civil construction, defence electronics and electronics measuring instruments / systems as solution providers, consultants and
technical sales / service group companies with footprint in all major cities of Pakistan, trading offices in Dubai & Sharjah UAE and Chicago USA.
Reason for supporting Bhai Chara is not mainly for profit cause but I believe its a powerful way to give back to a community. supporting the underprivileged or a good cause is a great source of joy. however,

I am a Karachite and have spent most of my life living and working in Karachi. For the last 5 years I am based in Manchester, United Kingdom and working in a Agro Chemical company Syngenta as EAME Region Team Leader for Procurement. By progression I am a Procurement expert and like to help different organizations in elevating their Procurement function. Earlier in my career I had the pleasure of working in companies like Engro Foods, Mondelez International etc.
When this project was explained, it exited me with the opportunity to give something back to our city and society with our time, expertise and some financial resources.
